"Love
suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is
not puffed up; Does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked,
thinks no evil; Does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; Bears
all things, believes all things, hopes all things, love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Wow!
It’s February, already a month into the New Year. February has always been one of my favorite months. I enjoy celebrating Valentine’s
Day, and giving little gifts to those I love.
But, It is also an opportunity to
reflect on how love is operating in my life. Is love a priority in my life? Do my actions speak love? Love towards God, family and
others.
Apostle
Paul, listed the fruits of the Holy Spirit, and love is the first fruit. I believe there is a reason for that,
without love how could we cultivate any of the other fruits, such as joy or peace.
A loving heart is a happy heart.
Have you ever
noticed the glow on the face, and the sparkle in the eyes of someone in
love? Life takes on a new meaning,
colors seem brighter, the songbirds sound sweeter, and each day is a reason to
celebrate.
Last year I attended a wedding held on a yacht, in the Newport Beach
Harbor. The bride was positively glowing, a gentle breeze blowing her veil, as
the golden sunset reflected off the water. I had never seen Deena look more radiant, so in
love. The groom, William, looked
at his new bride with the spark of love in his eyes, he had won the heart of a
princess.
Jesus will be
coming back to claim His bride, He will look at us with a gleam in His eye; it
is then we know the truest meaning of love.
